Why is breathing so crucial for alleviating and overcoming anxiety and symptoms of depression in women?
We breathe from our chest and upper body when we’re feeling anxious or depressed, whereas we breathe from our diaphragm when we feel relaxed – so we’ll be breathing from our centre or middle. The breathing location in the body is higher when stressed, lower when calm. Pause for a moment to notice where in your body you’re breathing from now.
